The Magic Flute

Personal project.

I decided to create a design for The Magic Flute for something a little bit different and because of its fantastical elements. It was a chance for me to combine two of my passions, classical music and book cover design. The blackletter hand lettering gives it an old-timey feel while the colours and shapes are fresh and new. I also experimented with some new styles in Procreate, including multiple clipping masks and some new brushes.
